June 16 - July 3, 2014   OIST Computational Neuroscience Course
This oustanding workshop promotes science without borders and provides unparalleled opportunities to learn cross-disciplinary programs. It takes place about 3 km from the OIST main campus, at the Seaside House that overlooks the East China Sea in Onna Village with a spectacular view of coral reefs and islands. https://groups.oist.jp/ocnc

June 29 - July 19, 2014   Telluride workshop
This year the Telluride workshop celebrates the 20th anniversary, congratulations! As every year since 1994, this workshop attracts an international group of scientists from several disciplines for three weeks of intensive discussion and exchange of ideas about neuromorphic engineering, a research field that wishes to bridge the gap between the lifeless silicon of computer chips and the very much lively brain-based biological systems. The Telluride workshop is now in full swing and will continue until July 19.

July 29 – August 1, 2014   Living Machines 2014
The 3rd Conference on Biomimetic and Biohybrid Systems will be held this year from 30 July to 1 August in Milan and will be preceded by a 1 day workshop event to take place at the Politecnico di Milano. This edition of Living Machines is organised by the Convergent Science Network in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology IIT and will be hosted at a fantastic venue consistent with the spirit of the conference: the Da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan
Do not miss it !

September 2 –14, 2014   The BCBT summer school
This summer school is positioned at the interface between biology and future and emerging technologies with an emphasis on natural and artificial cognitive systems. This is the 7th year of BCBT, which ran with great success in previous years thanks to an excellent line-up of outstanding speakers. The BCBT lectures as well as Podcast interviews with many of the BCBT speakers are available onlineFor this edition BCBT plans to address “Evolutionary and Developmental aspects of nervous systems and behavior” and concept of "Core Brain Systems" with emphasis on the basal ganglia. The summer school is hosted at the University Pompeu Fabra , and is part of a series of events organized by the European coordination action Convergent Science Network of Biomimetic and Biohybrid Systems (http://csnetwork.eu/) and supported through a number of European initiatives.
